Primary mineral sizer production completed and shipped to Indonesia
PT TPC Mining, as an influential local coal mine developer in Indonesia, is headquartered in Bandung. Currently, PT TPC Mining has three or four coal mines in stable operation and a new project under initiation, which requires the purchase of two mineral sizers.
At the beginning of last year, PT TPC Mining contacted us through the website platform during the bidding stage of the new project. In the first half of this year, PT TPC Mining successfully won the new project. Then, they moved on to the equipment procurement stage. As the mineral sizer is one of the key equipment in coal mining, its performance directly affects the efficiency of the subsequent mining process. Therefore, PT TPC Mining promptly communicated with our company about the crushing solution for the new project.
During the communication process, our company, based on the actual conditions of the new project, such as the geological conditions of the coal mine, the scale of mining and the production capacity requirements, tailored a professional equipment configuration plan for the client. We also provided a detailed introduction of the technical parameters, crushing efficiency, energy-saving advantages, etc. of the primary mineral sizer.
After multiple rounds of in-depth technical exchanges and scheme discussions, PT TPC Mining highly recognized our solution and signed a purchase contract for two primary mineral sizers with our company in early June.
After the contract was signed, considering the urgent needs of the customer’s project, PT TPC Mining quickly started the expedited production process. All production departments work closely together, strictly control the production process, from raw material procurement to parts processing, to equipment assembly and commissioning, all in accordance with high standards and strict requirements to ensure that the quality and performance of the equipment to reach the best state.
After a month of expedited production, two large primary double roll crushers were finally successfully completed on July 14th. And on July 15, the packing work of the equipment was successfully completed, and the equipment was ready to be shipped to Indonesia.
Structure of Mineral sizer
Mineral sizer consists of a pair of toothed rollers, two external meshing gears, hydraulic coupling, frame and motor and other components.
The frame is a welded structural member made of steel section, and the fixed gear roller shaft is mounted on the fixed bearing of the frame.
The movable gear plate is bolted to the shaft hub, which is set on the gear roller shaft.
The motor rotates the fixed toothed roller shaft through the hydraulic coupling and gear motor and coupling, and the toothed roller shaft drives the shaft hub and movable toothed plate, so that the movable toothed plate rotates.
The two parallel shafts are driven to rotate by synchronous gears, and the crushed materials are fed in from the top and discharged from the bottom after being crushed by the toothed rollers.

Fluid coupler protection
Fluid coupler is a kind of hydraulic transmission element, in essence, it is a combination of centrifugal pump and turbine, which mainly consists of input shaft, output shaft, pump wheel, turbine, shell, auxiliary chamber and safety protection device. One end of the input shaft is connected to the motor, and the other end is connected to the reducer.
It utilizes the change of kinetic energy of the liquid circulating between the impeller to transmit the power, and automatically reduces the amount of liquid charging in the circulating circle with the increase of the load and the increase of the input/output rotation difference to limit the increase of the torque.
When the crushing roll is overloaded and blocked, the hydraulic coupler releases the transmission medium in the cavity by melting the easy-to-accommodate plug, disconnecting the transmission system, thus protecting all parts of the transmission system from damage. And when the large iron block enters the crushing cavity, because it is an instantaneous fault, the hydraulic coupler has not had time to spray liquid, and there has been a gear reducer beating teeth.
So the hydraulic coupler has little protection for the crushing cavity into the iron, just play the role of protecting the motor.
Protection of electrical system
The electric control system of double-tooth roller crusher consists of speed sensor, PLC programming controller, voltmeter, ammeter, voltage stabilized power supply, buttons, alarms and display lights. The display light and buttons are installed on the control box panel, and the speed sensor is installed on the tooth coupling.
During the crushing process, the control system, based on the speed sensor signals, determines the operating status of the mineral sizer. When overload or jamming occurs, it issues a signal and stops the operation. Once the fault is resolved, the alarm signal will automatically be lifted, and then the machine can be restarted for operation.
