Singaporean Clients Visited The EXCT Factory For Apron Feeders

In early May 2026, EXCT received an inquiry for Apron Feeder from a customer in Singapore. This customer is a company specializing in crushing and screening equipment for the mining and aggregate industries, with its headquarters located in Singapore.

 

This inquiry is for two models of Apron feeders. The material to be processed is andesite, with a required processing capacity of 2500 tph and 3000 t/h. After in-depth communication between our technicians and the customer, we learned more detailed parameter requirements. The customer described to us the on-site installation scenarios of the two models of apron feeders that were inquired about, as well as the detailed requirements for matching with the existing production line. The layout requirement is to be placed at an inclination of 3°, and the materials are discharged from Gyratory cone to the apron feeder. Among them, the maximum particle size of the material is 700mm, accounting for 10%. After getting a detailed understanding of the information, we made a quotation according to the customer’s requirements. After reviewing the quotation, the customer plans to visit the EXCT factory for an on-site inspection in mid-May.

 

On May 12th, we received a group of customers arriving at the EXCT factory. We accompanied the customers to visit the production workshop on the spot and inspected the production and processing flow of Apron Feeder, from the cutting of materials to the processing technology of core components, the assembly of components, and the no-load test run after the equipment production was completed. During the factory visit, our technicians answered the questions raised by the customer regarding structural strength, selection of wear-resistant parts, maintenance cycle, spare parts supply, etc. At the same time, based on the on-site working conditions of the customer, they provided professional optimization suggestions for some design details.

Advantages of EXCT Apron feeder

Driven Device

The flameproof three-phase variable frequency motor is connected to the reducer through a coupling, and an electrical frequency converter is used for soft start. It features heavy-load starting, gradual acceleration, reduced starting impact, lower motor starting current, and extended motor life.

When installing, the motor and the reducer are naturally connected. When connecting, it is necessary to ensure that the output shaft of the reducer and the input shaft of the motor are concentric and that the outer flanges of both are parallel. If the concentricity is not consistent, it will cause the motor shaft to break or the gears of the reducer to wear.

Chain Pans Device

It is composed of conveyor chain plates, chains and other components. The conveyor chain plates are of single arc lap joint type and are welded with low alloy steel plates. High strength, wear-resistant, no material leakage and strong impact resistance. The chain is a track chain (tank chain) produced by a specialized manufacturer for bulldozers. Its features include small pitch error, smooth movement, high strength, large tensile force, and the chain is equipped with self-lubrication and sealing devices. The shaft is made of hardened steel. After quenching, the toughness and impact resistance of the traction chain are enhanced, and it has excellent wear resistance and a long service life.

Tensioning Device

A screw tensioning mechanism, which is mainly composed of a shaft, rolling bearings at both ends, bearing housings, lock nuts and tensioning screws, etc. The idler rollers are fixed on the shaft through expansion sleeves. At both ends of the shaft, there are double-row radial spherical roller bearings and bearing housings. The bearing housings are installed on both sides of the frame and slide back and forth between the slide rails. The tensioning device is used to tighten and adjust the horizontal position of the chain. Ensure that the chain is neither too tight nor too loose to run smoothly. The idlers serve to guide and support the chain plates. By adjusting the tensioning screw, the tension on the two chains can be made uniform. When the chain plate is suddenly impacted by materials, the composite spring can act as a buffer to protect the chain plate and other components from damage.

Frame

The I-shaped structure is welded from steel plates, with several reinforcing plates welded between the upper and lower flange plates. The two I-shaped main beams are composed of several channel steels. The I-beams are welded into a whole, which has sufficient strength and rigidity, and the weld seams are firm, beautiful and uniform. The profiles and plates used in manufacturing are made of high-quality steel. The surface of the materials is pre-treated by grinding, shot blasting or acid washing, and the stress is removed after welding. Ensure that the appearance is undamaged and free from deformation.

Supporting Roller

It is composed of components such as supports, rolling bearings, shafts, rollers, sealing rings, and gland covers. It is mainly used to support the working section of the chain to prevent the chain plates from experiencing significant deflection due to load and self-weight, ensuring the normal operation of the chain and withstanding the impact of some materials and the pressure of the silo.

Return Rollers

It is mainly used to support the return chain plate to prevent large deflection caused by the self-weight of the chain plate, which would affect the normal operation of the apron feeder.
