Heavy duty apron feeder is a large coal heavy plate feeder for open-pit mining developed by our company by integrating the advantages of similar feeders at home and abroad and combining the specific conditions of our country. It is used for the feeding and transportation of large quantities and large pieces of materials in open-pit coal mines, and can realize the mechanization of coal dropping, loading and transportation in the working face. It can also be used for coal transportation operations in certain occasions. This feeder is more suitable for the usage conditions and occasions of open-pit coal mines in china in terms of performance, structure and matching compared with similar foreign feeders. Heavy duty apron feeder is widely used in industrial sectors such as mining, metallurgy, building materials and coal. This machine is mainly used under the silos and funnels with certain silo pressure, to uniformly and continuously convey various high-density materials over short distances to the primary crushing, screening and transportation equipment. It is not only suitable for handling coarse-grained materials, but also applicable to fine-grained materials. It can complete heavy tasks in harsh environments and has a high adaptability to changes in the particle size composition of materials, temperature, viscosity, the influence of frost, rain and snow, or frozen materials. The feeding quantity is uniform, accurate and reliable. This machine can be installed horizontally or at an angle. The maximum upward transportation angle is 16 °.

The heavy duty apron feeder is composed of an electric motor, a coupling, a dc reducer, a planetary reducer, a locking disc, and other components. This device is of the floating type with right-intersection shaft support points. The main shaft is fitted inside the output shaft of the planetary reducer, and the two are connected through a locking disc. Its characteristics are that it is suspended without a foundation, light in weight and has a large speed ratio. Due to the adoption of the floating fulcrum type, the additional bending moment caused by installation errors on the shaft is reduced, the service life of the transmission shaft is prolonged, and disassembly and assembly are convenient.

Drive device

Suspended design: The drive unit usually adopts a floating fulcrum type and is suspended on the main shaft of the machine, without the need for foundation support. This design reduces the additional bending moment on the shaft caused by installation errors, increases the service life of the transmission shaft, and at the same time facilitates installation and disassembly

High speed ratio transmission: It adopts a high-speed ratio dc-ac reducer or hydraulic motor drive, eliminating the open gear drive mechanism, reducing the lateral dimensions of the machine, facilitating process layout, and can provide powerful torque to meet the requirements of conveying high-density and large-particle materials.

Speed regulation function: Equipped with a variable frequency speed regulation device or a hydraulic motor speed regulation system, through the electrical control device, the feeding speed of the feeder can be automatically adjusted according to the load of the crusher, making the receiving state of the crusher uniform and the working load stable, which is conducive to achieving the automation of the entire system.

Chain plate device

High-strength chains for heavy duty apron feeder: Generally, track chains for bulldozers produced by specialized manufacturers are selected, such as tank chains. This type of chain has a small pitch error, smooth movement, high strength, large tensile force, does not require frequent oiling, and has a long service life.

Wear-resistant chain plates: Chain plates are mostly made by welding low alloy steel plates together. They come in structures such as single arc lap joint type, featuring high strength, wear resistance, no material leakage and no deviation.

Tensioning device

Screw tensioning mechanism: It is mainly composed of shafts, rollers, rolling bearings, bearing housings, composite springs and tensioning screws, etc. The tightness of the chain is adjusted through the rotation of the screw to ensure that the chain is moderately tight and operates smoothly.

Buffer springs: The tensioning device is equipped with buffer springs, such as butterfly springs, which can reduce the impact load on the chain and extend the service life of the chain and related components.

Main shaft unit

Expansion sleeve connection: The main shaft and the bearing are connected by a tight sleeve, and the sprocket and the support wheel are also connected by expansion sleeves. This connection method is simple to disassemble and assemble, convenient for maintenance, and can avoid the phenomenon of stress concentration caused by keyway opening.

Detachable sprocket: The active sprocket often adopts a detachable structure. For instance, the teeth of the split structure are connected to the hub by bolts. When the teeth wear out, only the teeth need to be replaced, which reduces the maintenance cost for users.

Rack

Solid welded structure: The i-shaped structure, usually made of steel plates welded together, has several stiffened plates welded between the upper and lower flange plates. The two i-shaped main beams are welded into one whole by several channel steels and i-beams. The structure is solid and stable, capable of withstanding the impact of materials and the pressure of the silo.

Compact layout: The overall structure is compact, and the lateral dimensions of the machine body are smaller than those of similar products of the same model, which is conducive to saving space and facilitating installation and layout in different sites.

Support wheels and sprocket rollers

Support wheels: Composed of components such as supports, rolling bearings, shafts, rollers, sealing rings, and covers, they are mainly used to support the working section of the chain, prevent excessive deflection of the chain plates due to loads and self-weight, ensure the normal operation of the chain, and withstand the impact of some materials and the pressure of the silo.

Sprocket support: It is also composed of a support, rolling bearing, shaft, roller, sealing ring, cover and other components. It is mainly used to support the empty chain plate and prevent large deflection caused by the self-weight of the chain plate, which may affect normal operation.

Other components

Heavy duty apron feeder receiving section buffer device: The receiving section is equipped with a buffer device, which can reduce the impact of materials on the apron and extend the service life of the apron.

Guard plate and discharge funnel: The guard plate is composed of a pillar and a hopper, supported on the frame, and the feeding port at the tail is connected to the silo. The discharge funnel is a steel plate structural component, connected to the guard plate to form a closed material guiding and protection system, which can prevent the material from scattering and ensure the smooth transportation of the material to the designated position.
